DO NOT TAKE AWAY MY BIRTH CONTROL!!

So i was reading the news on my phone this morning and i found this articleabout Fordham University and their health center birth control policy. As I continued reading the article i was getting angrier and angrier and then i came upon this section:

“But the Republican presidential contenders have said moral and religious values weigh heavily in birth control issues. Andrea Saul, a spokeswoman for Mitt Romney, said in an email that he regarded the administration’s rule requiring religious employers to furnish birth control as wrong. “This is a direct attack on religious liberty and will not stand in a Romney presidency,” she said.
Romney has also pledged to end a federal program, Title X, that provides family planning services to millions of women.
Santorum has taken the position that health insurance plans should not be required to cover birth control. He also favors allowing states to decide whether to ban birth control. He and Gingrich both support “personhood” initiatives that would legally declare fertilized eggs to be persons, effectively banning not just all abortions but also certain contraceptives, including IUDs and some types of birth control pills.
Gingrich wants to withdraw government money from Planned Parenthood because it performs abortions in addition to providing contraceptives, though the federal money cannot be used for abortion”

I am one of the many women who take birth control, both to prevent pregnancy but also FOR MEDICAL REASONS! Without birth control my risk of ovarian and cervical cancer would be much higher, my periods would be a week-long torture of pain and agony, my periods would be irregular-which leads to health risks and i would never know when my period was coming. Now that i’m on birth control my period is normal, i am no longer in extreme pain when i get my period, it’s shorter and more predictable. And while i have experienced some side effects (slight weight gain, headaches right before/during my period and slight moodiness) these are all bearable knowing that with out the birth control once a month (if that) there will be a week of hell.

Also, what really bothers me is that politicians and the presidential candidates keep forgetting the First Amendment, there is a separation between church and state. Therefore, i do not care about your religious beliefs and you CAN NOT TAKE AWAY MY BIRTH CONTROL BECAUSE OF YOUR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS!! Also, please stop messing with Planned Parenthood, taking it away would make the lives of millions of women harden then they already are. Thanks to Planned Parenthood my birth control and yearly exams are affordable! Something that would otherwise be impossible because I don’t have medical insurance. Planned Parenthood is an affordable option for women who otherwise can’t afford to get exams, advice and medical help.

Also, Romney, making religious institutions health insurance plans cover birth control is not morally wrong, there are tons of medical reasons for birth control to be prescribed. Banning birth control in health plans is like banning chemotherapy or life saving surgery because your religion “says” it’s wrong.

In conclusion of this rant: Dear, politicians, presidents, senators, representatives, presidential candidates, and any one else who wants to mess with birth control. PLEASE keep your religion out of my life and health!

When I made the Tundra Brewery Ma-Pale Ale label? Well now there is offically a logo. It took me weeks figure out how to make a "manly" snowflake cause Mark (the Brewery owner) thought all my other snowflakes were too feminine. So while we were in the city yesterday he "supervised" while I struggled to make a masculine snowflake. In the end I wound up cutting out a snowflake (kirigami, the art of cutting and folding lol), tracing it, outlining it and making it awesome. So here is the sketch, and the final product.

so what is new with me?

well today i find that when i look at this blog page, half my pictures and videos are missing...strange
i have two jobs, used bookstore employee by day, bar tender by night...both of which are extremely entertaining
on thursday i will have been dating my bf for 9 months...whoa
i take self defense and therefore can hopefully one day kick ass
i got a nook...which is AWESOME!!
i graduated from college and now need to figure out what i want to do with my life
and i really want a cat...but pets arent allowed in my apartment :(

and that, my friends, is really all i have to say...so long for now!

Turning into an Upstate New Yorker pt. 1

My boyfriend is a native upstate New Yorker...and thanks to him i have come to the conclusion that all Upstate New Yorkers (UNYs) are crazy.

we went snowmobiling last night with his cousin and friends...it was thrilling and exciting...yet i think i spent the majority of the time hanging on to Mark for dear life because i was terrified the majority of the time. the trails were bumpy (my kidneys still hurt from that...apparently you're supposed to act as if you're on a horse) the turns were sharp (leaning is key...but that one i caught onto eventually) and every now and then you're gonna run over/into some kind of plant life (thankfully we didnt hit any trees) and then when you're on the road (for short stretches because the snowmobiles are liquid cooled and yes, i actually know what that means) you can hit at least 90mph on those things (dont worry we were only going 60mph). going through all those trails in the woods, going up massive hills (THOSE were terrifying) and just speeding away just showed me a whole different world. it was AMAZING!! i had so much fun (even in my slightly terrified state) and listening to all of them talk about the stupid and fun stuff they've done and how much fun they all had doing it was just fascinating.

oh and we only fell off once...because we hit a rock...but dont worry..we were actually going slow...i told Mark that i would've been surprised if we didnt fall...he accused me of having little faith in him...i told him that i had faith in him...just no faith in my luck.

Wow...i negelct my poor blog for months and now all of a sudden i cant stop....

anywho...

The Sookie Stackhouse Series

these are the books that the HBO Series TrueBlood is based off of, and let me tell you...i kinda like them. I've only read the first 5 so far, and i've only ever seen the first 8 or so episodes of the show (i tend to jump on bandwagons a little late can you tell?) and while the two are pretty different they are both enjoyable.

The books are about a telepathic human who, after meeting and dating a vampire for a while gets thrown into a supernatural world that she never suspected existed. Not only does she hang out with vampires, but she meets shape-shifters, Were wolves, panthers and tigers, witches, fairies, you name it. also each book is a little mystery novel packed into an action filled adventure. the books are pretty easy reads (i can easily finish one in a day) and they are all told in the first person (everything is in Sookie's point of view, and its refreshing not seeing that in the show) which can get a little annoying at times but other than that i really do enjoy the books.

The show's not bad either...but i will say Bill=not that attractive...

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! can i just say amazing? i was not at all disappointed with this film. not one bit. nope not at all. the music was fun, jazzy and actually quite different compared to most other Disney films, and there was actually a lot more of it. Normally all you get are 5 sing along songs (like The Lion King) and then the rest is score, but this one had at least 9 sing along songs and they are just fun songs. The animation was amazing as well. Even though the movie was 2D animation (finally!!) and most of it was probably drawn by hand there was an entire scene of vectors and the scene with all the fireflies and the light of their butts was just amazing. this movie has most def. landed on my top five favorite 2D Disney movies...

i love Disney!!

8pm: Go to wal-mart to buy Up, 2 other movies, and a 2lb 4 oz. tub of cookie dough

9pm: Using 2lb 4 oz. of cookie bake 2 giant cookie cakes

10pm: watch Up and eat both cookie cakes with the roommates

11:30pm: Watch Dinosaur and continue eating cookie cake with the roommates

1am: start layering clothes, pack a backpack with blankets, towels, water and camera

1:15am: pick up Breda, meet up with Lisa and begin trek to Strawberry Fields to watch Meteor Shower

1:45am: finally get to strawberry fields

2am: Donna's first meteor goes by

2:30am: we all finally get cold,turns out we were starting to frost over, everyone else there leaves, so we start taking pictures

2:45am: Breda starts putting her camera on 15sec long exposures and we make shooting stars with our flash lights

3am: Camera Battery Dies we all decide to watch the sky for one last epic meteor

3:15am: trek back down to Campus begins...still watching skies for meteors but chances lower as we get closer to light pollution

3:45am: home

4am: bed

11:15am: wake up

So this year at school I live in a townhouse with 4 other people. we have an extra room that we werent overly sure what to do with so Tim and I created a library. now, i will admit that tim's book collection here far out-classes my own, currently all that's on my bookshelf is the harry potter series, narnia, the mists of avalon, school books (all 2 of them), mythology and fairy tale collections, and a stack of murder mysteries. Tim, on the other hand, has most of the barnes and noble classics collection that i now have full access to....muhahahahahahahahaaha
first book to be stolen....Peter Pan

i loved it. of course, thanks to Disney, the characters in my head were all pre-made but i still loved it. i normally have a hard time reading classics, it's the lack of dialouge and way too much detail that tends to get to me, but Peter Pan was perfect. it was a light read, there actually was a good combination of dialouge and details AND it was just fun to read.

so now that peter is done i'm not sure what i want to read next but, i might as well work on those classics because even though i know most of those stories (thanks mostly to Wishbone) it would be nice to actually read them.

Summer Reading

So i guess, now that school has finally started, summer is officially over.
my final book count for this summer....36
not bad, that's slightly more than 10 books per month and 5 books more than i read last summer.
so on to the reviews, of course im not going to review 36 books in one go, just the ones that i liked.

The Percy Jackson Series-5 books in all, all considered young adult, i loved them. It's about Percy Jackson who is a normal teen aged boy but his father just happens to be Poseidon. throughout the whole series Percy and his other demi-god friends go on adventures that most readers will recognize from ancient myth. and thats what it really is, ancient myth with a modern twist. Also fun fact, Mt.Olympus is on top of the empire state building, and the entrance to Hades is in Los Angeles.

The Inda Series-ok so i read the first 3 books of the series last year, and they were amazing! the world is realistic, the conflict is great and the characters are just so well written that its mind-blowingly real. this summer the final book came out. and while i enjoyed it i feel like there was just too much going on at once. there was too much conflict (like the weird love triangle between Inda and everyone on the planet, though Inda is completely oblivious to all of it) and there were too many characters, in fact i started losing track of characters! and i normally dont do that. but other than that it was still a great book. after reading Treason's Shore i went and re-read The Fox and King's Sheild.

Water for Elephants- great great book. you're pulled in straight from the start and you dont put it down until you're finish

The Gargoyle-another great book, but you need to come to terms with the whole idea of reincarnation before you read the book because thats the main plot-line of the book. plus it has some really great historical myth/history going on.

The Lace Reader-i think i already wrote about this book, but i dont care, it was that amazing!! the psychology alone in the book is fantastic (and you dont realize until the end) plus the added element of magic just makes it that much better.

The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane-If you like Salem Witches you'll love this book. Great characters and not that heavy of read so its just a lot of fun.

I saw the midnight showing of the movie, and then, a little over 12 hours later, i saw it again.

the first time i actually enjoyed the movie, the second time, i realized how angry the movie made me.

but first the good bits.
1.The Weasley's Wizard Wheezes-the shop looked great and i love the Phelp Twins as fred and george

2. Rupert Grint-needs to give Dan Radcliffe acting lessons, he plays Ron perfectly

3. Tom Riddle-both actors chosen were great..and made voldie look perfectly crazy :D

4. Humor!!-it finally came back!!

5. Quidditch-though it was wrong, im glad it was back

6.Aaragog's Death-was perfect..."not to mention the pincers" lmao!

7.Slughorn-i liked him...thou i wish he looked more like a walrus like he was supposed to

.....and i think that was it

now for the bad bits

1. it was an awkward movie, not as awkward as Twilight (shudder) but still awkward

2. the Weasley's house gets blown up-....wait what!?! where did that come from? and what does that have to do with the plot??

3. Dumbledore's Death-a. he should have been smushed, b.it was all wrong, why no funeral? does the poor man get any respect

4. Battle of Hogwarts-where was it? its kinda important!!

5.Bill and Fleur-ok i kno this isnt that important in the books, but it still would have been nice to see that and it was important for that whole battle of hogwarts thing that never happened.

6.Sectumsemptra-um...my name is Harry Potter and i just preformed Dark Magic and almost killed Draco Malfoy, but i get no punshiment nor feel any remorse...fail WB, epic fail

ugh...i can keep on going, but for the sake of everyones sanity, i shall not.

I've read to many books in the last week to actually keep up with them. The last two though are the most notable i can think of off the top of my head (i need my list to see the others...sad isnt it?)

First The Lace Reader: GOOOOD book the narrators are very well characterized. the characters are amazingly well written, and the plot and story keep you guessing the whole time. you never know whats true, and whats not until the very end. and even then you're not quiet sure what really happened.

Second The Bell at Sealey Head: i've always liked Patricia McKillip most of her books are amazing...some not so much...this one is in the amazing catergory. the plot was a little obvious and maybe a little predictable ('specially after reading The Lace Reader) but then again it is considered YA (Young Adult...i'll rant about that some other time) and you're not really looking for plot but more for story. and this one had story, actually multiple stories. Unlike most books where you have many characters that usually help one main character finish their story, Sealey Head had multiple characters with multiple stories and all with completely different endings. (most happy) PLUS there was also all the little side stories told in order to answer the mystery of the bell and where it comes from. GOOOD book.

Now i am currently working on the new Robin McKindley...thou i havent gotten far enough in to actually voice my thoughts on it...

Culture Shock

For my final project in my Drawing Works on Paper class (which i got an A in thank you very much) i decided to combine two things, one that i have always loved and one that i was always aware of, but didnt appreciate until this year.

first thing:Irish Step Dancing i have loved it since i saw a random show on it, then i saw riverdance, started taking lessons and then saw riverdance live. all of it was amazing and while i havent taken classes in a while i miss it and hope to start up again soon.

second thing: Indian Culture. A very good friend of mine went to India during the fall semester. my friends and i took bellydancing lessons for a month (i stunk at it, but it was fun) and then when Aleina came back from India she got my hooked on bollywood videos like Dard e Disco.

so....

i combined them

Aleina lent me her clothes for the Indian aspect, i threw on my shoes and curled my hair for the Irish aspect and then made her take pictures. on the left side of the painting are the words on Dard e Disco in english and hindi, on the right are the words to Oscail an Dorus in irish, scottish and english. the hindi on the bottom is Culture Shock phonetically spelled (side note...isnt it ironic that phonetic isnt phonetic at all?). the paper is massive and a ton of fun to paint.

Pandora in The Congo-By Albert Sanchez Pinol

Excellent novel. It's a great story within a story that has a pretty surprising twist at the end and both stories are beautifully told. There is a good balance between funny and serious and the plot isnt that predictable. It is also set during World War I in Britain during every nations carve up of Africa. The author was very well researched and the speech, racism's and events were highly accuate. All in all an excellent read.

Coraline-By Neil Gaiman

This book was so good i finished it in 2 hours...granted it was only 167 pages or so...but still. It was excellent, def one of my fav Neil Gaiman's so far, I'm not even gonna try to explain it here...just go and buy it!

Batman and Van Gogh

Ok so this was an art project and the professor wanted something new, to meet something old. i chose batman and the joker with a background of starry night by Van Gogh. Batman and the Joker are painted right onto the glass while starry night was inserted like a normal photo. personally, i think this version looks way better lol.

and damn proud...and thanks to the internet i have found a new reading material

but first allow me to explain myself a little bit. i was never one for manga and anime really, i liked looking at it, i liked flipping through the books too see the pictures or watching the shows for the animation. then Tim started reading Bleach when i asked him what he thought he just handed me the first volume...after that i finished the 7 volumes he had plus 7 he didnt have via the internet in the span of a week. after a while though i stopped reading because Bleach just goes on forever and ever. So then i started reading Death Note, now Death Note was uber kewl and uber twisted, and just really well written, until they killed L and introduced Near and Mello and Light just went crazier then he already was. in short i just got annoyed.

So now to my new reading Full Metal Alchemist
i am mesmerized. its not as well drawn as bleach or death note but the story good plus its like Death Note and unlike Bleach because it actually ends eventually. so to any one who wants to read anything Japanese just go to Onemanga.com and read to your hearts desire and try not to get addicted.

Fool by Christopher Moore and A Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult are the books of the week.

Ok so now to the Jodi Picoult book. This is the third on of her books that i have read of hers so far and while the first one i read (My Sister's Keeper) is still my favorite one this one was definatly an interesting one. My only issue with Picoult is that she is a formula writer, not as bad as Dan Brown, but still a formula writer. Mainly she takes a contraversal issue, and puts it into a court room and, in the books i've read so far, the people who you want to win, win. Though this book had something different, it was heavily influenced by The Green Mile (it was even mentioned in the book lol) which was interesting because this was the first time i ever saw anything remotely mystical in her writings. There were a couple twists and turns and the plot moved smoothly, but it was pradictable. Maybe a little too pradictable but i still enjoyed it.

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Ok so i did read the book before i saw the movie, but i hadn't've read it in years and i adore the movie! I mean how can i not? its funny, its witty, its fun, its sarcastic, its beautifully animated and Christian Bale and Billy Crystal are the lead voices in the movie. But of course no movie is an exact replica of the original book form.
After reading the book again, i really love it, just as much as i love the movie. There were so many little things that were just left out of the movie that were somewhat crucial to the plot line, like the fact that Sophie really is a witch and can talk life into inanimate objects. Plus the plot in the book is pretty different than in the movie. In the movie they are in the middle of a war, in the book, there's just a missing prince, a missing magician, and a couple of missing hearts (literal ones too!) the books is just a lot of fun.

The Perfect Match by: Jodi Picoult

Great book, though a little predictable. If you're a fan of Law & Order SVU this is a must read. It's the story of the family of a young boy who gets molested by a priest and his mother, the county's DA, takes matters into her own hands. This is the tale of what happens from the victim's point of view.
My only issue with the book, as a said before, was the fact that it was predictable. I had the whole thing figured out before the last 100 pages, but that is also because of my love for SVU. After watching so many episodes you learn to pick up the tones and patterns , and are therefore able to figure out future episodes based on those things. Though i will admit that there was a slight suprise at the end of the book.
So, my rating? I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

ok so i've recently just finished 2 books
1. Gods Behaving Badly-Marie Phillips
2..In the Woods-Tana French

1. Gods Behaving Badly was about the major Greek Gods: Aphrodite, Apollo, Artimis, Eros(Cupid), Athena, Hermes, Hera, Zeus et al. Living in modern day London when two humans get tangled up in their lives, Alice, a house cleaner, and her friend Neil, an engineer. the story revolves mostly along the lines of the gods beginning to lose their power due to lack of belief, apollo, thanks to a cruel trick by aphrodite, falling in love with alice, and neil trying his best to become the unlikely hero everyone needs by the end. Needlessly it was an easy read, fun, light and funny. the mythology was accurate and i enjoyed the the authors take on what the gods would be doing in the modern day (for example, Aphrodite was a phone-sex worker). Good read for a rainy day.

2. In The Woods was about a Detective with a forgotten past solving a crime that reawakens his memorys and a psychopath in the form of an 18 year old girl. great start, good middle, really crappy ending. by the time i got to the end i was annoyed and frustrated with the narrarator, everything was revealed and the story basically over but there was still around 100 pages left to tie up loose ends. and what's even worse is that you have no clue what happened in the narrarator's forgotten past!! it was a book where i could have stopped reading it and would be perfectly fine. if you like mysteries and thrillers, give it a try, maybe you'll enjoy it, i did, until i got to the end...

It was good, a little longer than needed to be, a little wordy, but still good. Tom Robbins has a great sense of humor! The story follows Ellen Cherry Charles and her husband Boomer Petway, The conflicts in the middle east, a crazed baptist preacher, a can of beans, a dirty sock, a spoon, a conch shell and a painted stick, and the new york city art world and how they all end in Jerusalem.

He's like Christopher Moore, but slightly more educated.

Book Worm Corner-book 60

I love Neil Gaiman...love him love him love him
He's like the slightly creepier British version of Stephen King. So any way i just finished reading his new book "The Grave Yard Book" and yet again i realized how much i love his work. The book is aimed for younger readers but that never really stopped me before (besides young adult has better fantasy...except for Twilight, its so bad that it shouldnt count) and it follows the life of a boy named Bod who grows up in a graveyard. His guardian is a vampire, and his foster parents are ghosts. His teachers are ghosts through time (including an old Roman General) and he's friends with a witch named Liza. The book follows him through his adventures and misadventures as he grows up and its just such a great read. The beginning is dramatic, the middle is fun and exciting and the end is slightly melencholy. The perfect recipe (i think) for a great book.

Butt Sledding

I love it when it snows in Oneonta. Since the school is built into a mountain we get great sledding hills. So today it snowed and iced out so the snow was perfect snow...top layer was packing snow, bottom layer was light and fluffy for soft landings. Now i dont own a sled, but being the creative college student that i am i just grabbed my cookie sheets. All my friends who went down the hill were able to actually hold on to those things...i never could. So because i was wearing waterproof (lies!!) snow pants i just gave up and started butt sledding. it was just as much fun.

so next time you go sledding but dont have a sled...just use a cookie sheet

or your butt.

and beware your friends...they like to tackle you when you're not looking.

Ok so...worst kept secret ever...im a book worm...small, pale, and devourer of books. Since May 1st 2k8 i have read 58 books and im waiting for 59 in the mail. i have fallen in love. I adore her books, or at least the four i have read so far. And the Inkheart trilogy was just amazing, it was a book about people who loved books and who can read the books to life. My fellow book worms, havent you always wished you could do that? i know i have...or at least read myself into the books. how amazing would that be? Any way, back to the books, the characters were great, the plot twists were great and all three were very hard to put down. I adored those books...so much so that i almost dont want to see the Inkheart movie. But any way, to all those book worms like me out there Cornelia Funke is a definite read.

Tecktonik seems to be a new French electro-dancing style as well as a modern name for French Electronic Music that is currently very popular in European Clubs.

It's dancing style is very hectic and rapid, with a bit of hip hop influences, but mostly looking like epileptic seizures- which is in no way meant as a negative way, considering the strobe lights usually make you look like that anyway.

Harry vs. Edward

Or: Why I Think J.K. Rowling is Better than Stephenie Meyer

1. Tales of Beedle the Bard knocked Stephenie Meyer out of the #1 bestseller spot. Tales is aimed for younger kids (I'd say from 10-15) and yet appeals to almost all ages. The Twilight series is aimed for preteen and young teenage girls (I'd say 12-16) and those are really the only people those books appeal too. Personally I disliked the books and I find it hard to find others in my age group who enjoy them as well.

2. JKR is very well researched. In the 6th Harry Potter book a person who has taken a psych course or even watches/ reads a lot of mysteries can recognize the fact that Voldemort has symptoms of Anti-social Personality Disorder. which leads me to...

3. JKR has very real characters. I can relate to most of them and I feel for them. I couldn't care less about Edward or Bella, I think Jacob was the only one who has a smidgen of character development.

4. Which brings me to Harry vs. Edward. Edward is such an unrealistic guy. No guy is ever going to act like Edward nor do I think any woman really wants someone that protective that obsessive nor that sensitive. All of that in healthy measures is fine, but not in Edward measures. Harry on the other hand is the true good guy. He makes mistakes, he's no where near perfect, and he is definitely not sensitive to the point that he seems stupid. He just has a very good, and very pure heart plus he has a huge capacity to love, he's not just madly in love with Ginny.

5. Immortality does not solve problems. Which is exactly how all the problems are solved in the Twilight series. Yet in the Harry Potter series (which also has stronger morals) all the issues stem from the fact that Voldemort is afraid of death and searching for a way to be immortal (among other things). And Dumbledore tells Harry over and over that immortality solves nothing, just makes things worse.

Digital art...i love it, that's why it's my focus. so for my final project what i'm doing is filming me tim and cheryl watching fantasia. Then cheryl is gonna leave, with an (my) ipod in and while she's walking to work its gonna switch back and forth from her walking and whats going on in her head.

though i will admit...if it weren't for Sarah Palin(shudder) I wouldn't have minded if McCain won, i seriously think that she cost him this election. And McCain stepped down gracefully with a very nice little speech.

But Barack Obama. I am so glad he won. He delivered a very powerful speech last night, and hopefully he will help change this country. It's really amazing knowing that these are going to hopefully be very different times (i mean c'mon last nights polls on CNN showed that more people voted for Obama because of his age, not his race) and that i was finally able to vote and be a part of it.

It is going to be an Epic year.

That's what it feels like in Oneonta right now and it's just so surreal.

I love it.

For the last two days it has been snowing nonstop and the temp. has been at a constant 32 degrees. Right now Oneonta is a winter wonderland...except for a few things

1.The leaves are still on the trees
2.There is snow on the Halloween decorations
3.IT'S NOT EVEN HALLOWEEN YET!!

It is amazing!! I just wish the snow was a little dryer so that I can go sledding, because right now if i went sledding I would be covered in mud and snow.

So for digital art 317 we are making video art. The first project was simple...learn imovie and then make a loop (brain poke!!) and then a one minute video which I would put up but I only have the full DVD quality version of it and not the one for the web.

So the second project was a group project about current events. The ones that we found were pretty funny to begin with...people were stealing road signs with 66.6 on them and in an other one people were following their GPS to their doom. So all we had to do was film our reactions to it.

Was pretty much amazing. And one very busy weekend.
Friday was my actual birthday. I went to my grand total of two classes (i love fridays) played guitar hero, went to Dunkin Donuts, played some more guitar hero, froze in a tent for a barbecue (it was 40 degrees and the school decides to have a BBQ in a tent....very smart Hartwick) and then got ready for SOSUBU's 80s 90s party.

There's Cheryl me and Erin....and yes, my room was a mess.
The party was fun with lots of bad 80s/90s music and lots of good music too lol

Saturday we had brunch, did HW and then I had to do a photoshoot for Tim (he's directing a one act this semester and he asked me to make him posters), after that we got some great video for my art project...it's due wednesday and i can't wait til it's finished...it be funny. After that we went to dinner, Cheryl and I headed out to the Lake to get Chris and then we went to my actual birthday party. Cheryl and Chris are amazing and they got all our friends to get together and have cake. :)

And of course my friends know me well and (though I told them not to get me anything!!) they bought me toys :) plus Cheryl got me The Boondock Saints. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_boondock_saints

I have just realized that I'm in a lot of clubs....

1. Fencing-I get to stab and poke people
2.Amnesty International-I get to help protect Human Rights-I'm also the PR
3. Newman Club-It's the Catholic Club on campus and while I'm not Catholic Cheryl is the President and I'm her PR...so I'm in the club by association I guess lol
4. Orchesis-The school dance club-I'm in an Irish Step Dancing number woot!!-I also designed the EBoard's sweatshirts
5.Untitled-The art club though tonight is the first meeting I'm going too.
